When Ethereum Dapper Legacy is removed from Chrome, two things will happen:
- Your wallet's device key is removed from your computer or mobile phone
- Your account email will no longer be associated with the Dapper extension
But what does this mean for you?
When the device key is removed, the next to time you reinstall Ethereum Dapper Legacy and try to log into your existing account, you will need to use your Rescue Kit to recover your account's key from the Ethereum network. Once recovered, you will have access to your account. This key is how the network validates you are the owner of the wallet.
When you recover your account, the computer or mobile phone you used will also become your primary device. Any previously approved devices will be revoked from your primary account (more info here). Recovery will also reassociate your email to the extension. You can find steps on how to start a recovery here.
Note: if you try to reset your password before your account is recovered, you will run into an error.
